FC Barcelona's Rafinha Alcantara celebrates after scoring against Paris St Germain during their friendly soccer match at Parc des Princes -Reuters, Pascal Rossignol

CAIRO – 18 December 2017 : Barcelona announced on Monday that their Brazilian midfielder, Rafinha Alcantara has received medical clearance and he is ready to support the squad.

Rafinha, 24 suffered an injury against Granada on April 2, 2017 in the game Barcelona won 4-1.

Rafinha is available for Barcelona’s manager, Ernesto Valverde and he will add different qualities to Barcelona’s midfield.

He hopes to earn minutes with Barcelona this season to be able to play in 2018 World Cup in Russia with Brazil.

Rafinha, born in Brazil joined Barcelona academy when he was 13 and he spent most of his career inside the Catalan club. He joined the first team in 2011 and he went on a 1 year loan to Celta Vigo in 2013 before returning to Barcelona to play under Luis Enrique command.

Rafinha established himself a regular player in the last three seasons with Barcelona. He won 2015 UEFA Champions League title, two Spanish League titles and three Spanish Cup titles.

Rafinha won Olympic Gold Medal with Brazil in 2016 Rio Olympic games.
