Egypt to face Portugal, Bulgaria in March: EFA

CAIRO – 17 December 2017: The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) announced on Sunday that the Egyptian National Team will face Portugal and Bulgaria in two friendly matches in March.

Both games will take place at the Egyptian National Team’s camp next March to prepare the Pharaohs for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Egypt will face Portugal on March 23 and Bulgaria on March 27.
Ehab Lehita, the Egyptian National Team director, revealed that both games will be held in Zurich, Switzerland.

Lehita also confirmed that the Egyptian camp will be in Grozny, Chechen Republic, Russia.

Egypt was placed in group A with Russia, Saudi Arabia and Uruguay. The EFA has been arranging friendly games to prepare the Pharaohs for the 2018 World Cup.

Egypt faced Portugal twice before, whereby Portugal defeated Egypt 4-0 for the first time on December 24, 1955 and the second time was on August 17, 2005 with a 2-0 victory. Both games were international friendly ones.
