CAIRO – 17 December 2017: Ahmed Hegazi maintains a great reputation with West Bromwich, following his awesome performance last week in their goalless draw against Liverpool.

Alan Pardew, Bromwich`s head coach, revealed that West Bromwich is ready to activate the €4.5 million ($5.3 million) transfer clause and make Hegazi’s move permanent from Al-Ahly.

Pardew spoke in the press conference prior to West Bromwich`s game against Manchester United in the 18th round of the Premier League."He has fantastic attributes as a center-half and I think he's learning. I'm not sure there's many teams that would have got a clean sheet at Liverpool, particularly with the strike force they put out,” Pardew praised Hegazi, according to Sky Sports.

"We're pretty much down the road on that one. I can't confirm anything, but if we can, then we'll do that,.” said Pardew, according to ESPN.

On the other hand, Hegazi`s agent, Christian Emile, has confirmed that the Egyptian defender is enjoying his life at West Bromwich despite the reported interest from English clubs. Emile also hailed West Bromwich’s bravery in taking the opportunity of signing Hegazi from Al-Ahly.

"Ahmed has been the bargain of the season, and full credit must go to West Bromwich and their scouting staff," Emile told ESPN FC. "Naturally there will be speculation following his excellent performances, but the player is happy where he is."

"There is a saying; 'Those who don't take risks, don't drink the champagne.' Well, West Bromwich ventured into a new market and are now drinking from the best bottle!" he added.

Hegazi emerged as one of the consistent performers among West Bromwich players since joining on loan from Al-Ahly. He led in defense in 17 Premier Leagues so far and scored the winner against Bournemouth in the opening game of the Premier League.
