CAIRO – 14 December 2017 : West Bromwich Albion manager, Alan Pardew was happy after the important away draw against Liverpool on Wednesday night, Pardew praised the assistant referee’s decision to disallow a late goal from Liverpool.

“It was a brave call for an assistant referee to make in front of The Kop, it was the right decision but still a brave decision, and it was the little slice of luck we deserved," Pardew told the BBC after the game.

Dominic Solanke scored a late goal for Liverpool but it was disallowed by the referee on the grounds of a handball.

Pardew spoke about the important draw against Liverpool saying "This is a really important point. We had a tough task dealing with that movement and instinctive play, but we had a plan which worked. Jonny Evans, Ahmed Hegazi and Kieran Gibbs kept Salah very quiet."

Pardew, appointed West Brom manager on November 29 to succeed the sacked Tony Pulis, has managed three games for West Brom so far, two games ended with a draw and he lost a game to Swansea City.
