CAIRO – 13 December 2017: Daniel Sturridge wants to be on the field immediately. The Liverpool striker is considering leaving the Reds in search of the minutes needed to enter England`s squad which will play at the next World Cup in Russia.

Sturridge has not played a leading role at Anfield since Jürgen Klopp took over the job. The German coach has put him on the bench making him the fifth attack option, behind Philippe Coutinho, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mané and Roberto Firmino.

According to the British newspaper Daily Mail, the Englishman could leave the Premier League in January and move to Spain. Apparently, Betis and Valencia have been interested in Sturridge and would be willing to give the 28-year-old the minutes he craves.

Liverpool and Klopp acknowledged on several occasions that Sturridge, who was excluded from the Merseyside derby (Liverpool-Everton) last Sunday by a slight hamstring injury, should be playing.

The Reds are reluctant to sell the player and if so, they would ask for a considerable price. Taking advantage of Klopp's new comers from injury, Danny Ings and Adam Lallana; Real Betis and Valencia hope to reach an agreement with Liverpool to incorporate Sturridge in January on loan.
