CAIRO – 8 December 2017: The sixth and final round of the group stage of the 2017/2018 UEFA Europa League was played on Thursday, December 7 with the participation of 48 teams, divided into 12 groups of four teams each.

The final of the competition will be held in Lyon on May 16, 2018.

It will be a tough competition because big teams joined the Europa League after they failed to qualify to the knockout stage of the UEFA Champions League such as Atletico Madrid, Napoli, Borussia Dortmund, Sporting CP, Celtic, CSKA Moscow, RB Leipzig and Spartak Moscow.

AC Milan, Arsenal, Lyon, Marseille, Lazio, Villarreal and Athletic Bilbao already qualified to the next stage of the Europa League and the draw is scheduled to be held on Monday December 11.

Arsenal thrashed Bate Borisov 6-0 and Mohamed el-Nenny, the Egyptian midfielder, amazingly scored the sixth goal.

Group C: Braga – Ludogorets
Group D: Milan – AEK Athens
Group E: Atlanta – Olympique Lyon
Group F: Lokomtiv Moscow – Copenhagen
Group G: Victoria Plzen – Steaua
Group H: Arsenal – Red Star Belgrade
Group I: Salzburg – Olympique Marseille
Group J: Atheltic Bilbao – Oestersunds
Group K: Lazio – Nice
Group L: Zenit St. Petersburg – Real Sociedad
