CAIRO – 8 December 2017: Real Madrid faces a tough draw against a possible tough rival in the 16th round of the UEFA Champions League as they placed second in their group which is led by Tottenham Hotspur.

This situation greatly complicates its continuity in Europe if luck does not accompany it in the draw scheduled to be held on Monday.

Zinedine Zidane`s team could face teams like Manchester City headed by Pep Guardiola, Paris Saint-Germain led by the “Galacticos” Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, Manchester United headed by Jose Mourinho and Liverpool of Salah and Coutinho.

Any of these four teams are rivals of maximum difficulty, especially considering that Real Madrid will have to play the second leg away from the Santiago Bernabéu, Real Madrid`s stadium.

However, there are also two rivals in the draw who would be less challenging rivals than the four mentioned above.

One would be AS Roma of Danielli De Rossi, a team in any case that has been imposed in one of the groups theoretically called the “death group” as they were imposed on Chelsea and Atlético de Madrid`s path, while the other team is the Turkish champion Besiktas, who qualified first in their group, beating Porto, RB Leipzig and Monaco.

It is evident that Real Madrid’s fans will be crossing their fingers during the draw on Monday and it will be great if they get to play against Besiktas of Pepe, former Real Madrid defender.
