CAIRO – 7 December 2017: Roma coach, Eusebio di Francesco was happy after the team secured their qualification to the 16th round of the UEFA Champions League on top of their tough group. Di Francesco hopes that his team will play in the same way in the domestic league.

"We're through and it's with a great sense of pride. But, in Italy we have the tendency to sit back. We have to change that mentality and not to be satisfied with what we have,” di Francesco, who was appointed Roma manager last summer, told the press on Tuesday.

Roma defeated Qarabag 1-0 on Tuesday to secure their position on top of their group, but in the Italian League they are in fourth place with 34 points, five points behind the leaders, Internazionale.

Di Francesco praised his players after the qualification, “It's satisfying because nobody believed we could qualify at all, they assumed we'd be eliminated, but we worked hard, proved ourselves and won the group."
