Al-Ahly SC stuns Al-Masry

CAIRO – 28 November 2017: Al-Ahly defeated Al-Masry 2-0 in a match that brought the two teams together Tuesday evening in the 11th round of the Egyptian Premier League at Alexandria’s Borg El Arab Stadium.

Al-Ahly started the game with the usual line-up:

GK: Ahmed El-Shenawy

Defense: Ahmed Fathy, Saad Samir, Ayman Ashraf, Sabry Raheel

Midfield: Hossam Ashour, Amr El-Soleya, Abdullah El-Said, Moamen Zakaria, Junior Ajayee

Attackers: Walid Azzaro

Azzaro took the lead for Al-Ahly when he scored a header in the 33rd minute of the first half after an assist from Ashraf.

Walid Soliman, the substitute, doubled the score in the 70th minute after a superb shot from inside the box.

Al-Ahly raised their points to 19 and placed third on the table with four postponed matches due to their participation in the CAF Champions League.

The undefeated Red Devils will play their postponed matches against Misr Al-Makasah, Al-Mokawlon, Al-Assiouty and Al-Nasr.
