CAIRO – 26 November 2017: Sunderland defeated Burton Albion 2-0 on Saturday in the EFL Championship to achieve their second victory this season since their 3-1 victory over Norwich in August.

Sunderland won their first game under their new manager, Chris Coleman, who was appointed in charge of the team on Monday, November 20 and lost his first game with the team to Aston Villa on Tuesday.

Sunderland entered the game with a new spirit under Coleman, they tried to score the first goal to have the upper hand in the game, but they failed to end the first half 0-0.

The second half was different as they dominated the whole pitch, and they scored two late goals from James Vaughan and George Honeyman in the last 10 minutes of the game to win the game 2-0.

Sunderland, after the victory, finally left the bottom of the table. They are now in the 18th position with 14 points, leaving the bottom to Bolton Wanderers.

Sunderland players hope to change their bad habit of losing points at home when they host Reading on Saturday.
