CAIRO — 24 November 2017: Bayern Munich midfielder, Thiago Alcántara, could be out for several months as a result of the injury that occurred on November 22. He was injured during the match against Anderlecht in the fifth round of the group stage of the Champions League.

On Thursday, exhaustive tests will be conducted on the player to determine the true extent of the injury, but the first forecasts were pessimistic.

Bayern Munich defeated Anderlecht 2-1 at Constant Vanden Stock stadium at Belgium thanks to Robert Lewandowski, Bayern`s attacker and Tolisso, Bayern’s midfielder.
Alcantara, at the end of the first half, touched his right thigh and asked for a substite as he felt pain.

The first scans were a red flag. Coach Jupp Heynckes said, "Thiago probably has a serious muscle injury."

Bayern’s sports director, Hasan Salihamidzic, said with a very expressive gesture, "Thiago has a serious muscle injury, [he] probably will be off for several months."

Injuries have prevented Thiago Alcántara from deploying all his talent because, throughout his career, the player has suffered two ligament ruptures, and on 22 occasions, of greater or lesser range, he has been injured.
