CAIRO –20 November 2017: West Bromwich Albion has announced the dismissal of coach Tony Pulis because of recent poor results.

"These decisions are never taken lightly, but always in the interests of the club," West Brom chairman John Williams said.

"We are in a results business, and over the back end of last season and this season to date, ours have been very disappointing," he added.

"We would like to place on record our appreciation of Tony's contribution and hard work during a period of transition for the club, which included a change of ownership. We wish him well in his future endeavors," Williams said.

He concluded that assistant coach Gary Megson would be in charge of coaching the team until further notice.

West Brom is 17th on the English Premier League table with 10 points.

West Brom has won only two wins in the English Premier League this season; four games ended in a draw, and they were beaten in six games.

West Brom scored nine goals and conceded 25 goals.
