CAIRO – 19 November 2017 : Real Madrid’s journey to Atletico Madrid’s new stadium, Wanda Metropolitano, was not good for the reigning Spanish League champions.
Real Madrid failed to return with the three points, as the game ended 0-0 despite the multiple chances both teams had.
Real Madrid entered the game with a 4-4-2 formation, with Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema leading their attacking force with the help of Real Madrid’s midfielders, Luka Modric and Francisco Alarcon.

On the other hand, Atletico Madrid depended on their French striker, Antoine Griezmann, and Argentinean Ángel Correa to break Real Madrid’s defense.

Both teams created many chances against the opponent’s defense, but the goalkeepers succeeded to save their nets from all attempts.

Real Madrid were about to win the game in the last minute when Ronaldo faced the goalkeeper after a great pass, but Atletico Madrid’s defense cleared the ball out of their area to end the game 0-0.

After this result, the gap between both teams and the leaders, Barcelona, increased to 10 points.
