CAIRO –19 November 2017: Basel player Omar Gaber is just around the corner from joining Los Angeles.

Gaber signed a letter to join Los Angeles on a one-year loan from Basel.

Former Egypt coach Bob Bradley, who is now coaching Los Angeles, has played a big role in persuading Gaber to join the team, which will play in the MLS for the first time next season.

Of the 18 international appearances played by Gaber, six were under the leadership of Bradley.

Omar Gaber is waiting for the official announcement of the transfer deal in the coming days.

Gaber, 25 years old, moved to Basel in a deal estimated at €1.25 million ($1.5 million) last year, but he has played only 20 matches for the Swiss team.

Omar Gaber received many offers from various European clubs wishing to sign him during the last summer transfer period, the most important being from Brighton FC and Valencia CF.
