CAIRO – 18 November 2017: Mohamed Salah, Liverpool`s Egyptian winger, is now the top scorer of the Premier League with nine goals.

Salah led Liverpool to secure an easy 3-0 win over Southampton in the 12th round of the Premier League by scoring twice before Philppe Coutinho scored the third.
Mohamed Salah became the first Egyptian player to reach the top of the Premier League scorers` list.

Amr Zaki, former Wigan`s Egyptian striker, nearly reached this level when he managed to score ten goals for Wigan Atheltic, and at one point he was the third top scorer, behind Chelsea`s Nicholas Anelka and Manchester City`s Robinho, who had 15 and 12 goals, respectively.

Salah became the first Liverpool player to score nine goals in his opening 12 league games, eclipsing Fowler's tally of eight after a superb shot from 20 meters followed by a cool close-range finish in the first half.
