Inter Milan interested in Gimenez

CAIRO – 19 November 2017: Inter Milan would is preparing an offer to try to take over the services of Atlético Madrid defender José María Giménez.

According to Italian magazine Il Corriere dello Sport, the Uruguayan is preferred by Luciano Spalleti, Inter Milan`s coach, to replace Joao Miranda , also an ex-colleague at Atlético Madrid, who, at 33 years old, hastens his last football strikes.

Gimenez did not feature in many matches this season by Diego Pablo Simeone, Atlético `s coach, but Atlético will not facilitate his departure, as it would affect the axis of its defense.

The 22-year-old Uruguayan has a contract until 2020 and a $65 million release clause that the Capital club would request in full.

The Milan side will also face competition with other Serie A giants who are equally interested in signing the youngster, namely Roma and Juventus.
