CAIRO –16 November 2017: The 2018 World Cup qualifiers came to an end after Peru knocked out New Zealand on Thursday. Peru became the 32nd team to qualify for the World Cup in Russia.

Peru will be ranked second in the draw according to the FIFA rankings for the teams for October. The FIFA has announced that the October ranking will determine the classification of the teams in the draw for the World Cup.

Thus, the rating before the draw on December 1 will be as follows:

Rank 1: Russia - Germany - Brazil - Argentina - Portugal - Poland - France - Belgium
Rank 2: Spain - Mexico - England - Peru - Uruguay - Croatia - Colombia - Switzerland
Rank 3: Egypt - Tunisia - Iran - Sweden - Denmark - Iceland - Costa Rica - Senegal
Rank 4: Saudi Arabia - Morocco - Nigeria - South Korea - Japan - Australia - Serbia - Panama

The draw requires that two teams from one continent will not be in the same group except for Europe because they have 14 teams.

According to the draw rules, Egypt will not be with Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, Costa Rica or Iran, considering that these teams are in the third category with the Pharaohs.

In 1994 Saudi Arabia fell with Morocco in the same group and in 2006 Saudi Arabia fell with Tunisia.

Saudi Arabia may fall with Egypt or Tunisia in the same group in 2018 World Cup.
