CAIRO – 14 November 2017: English manager Gareth Southgate praised Brazilian winger Neymar Jr. Da Silva ahead of England’s friendly game against Brazil on Tuesday at Wembley Stadium.

“He is clearly one of the best players in the world at this moment in time. If there was to be one worth £200 million ($262 million), you'd say it would be him," Southgate told press on Monday.

Neymar became the player with the highest transfer fee in history when he joined Paris Saint Germain from Barcelona for €222m last summer.

Southgate spoke about the upcoming game against Brazil, saying, “We are in for a much sterner test. I think because this Brazil team is much further down the road in terms of knowing what their best team is."

Southgate added, “So it's a different challenge for us, as you'd expect we are playing the best team in the world who has annihilated everyone in the South American qualification, which is the hardest way to the finals."

Brazil qualified to the 2018 World Cup after they topped the South American qualifiers with 41 points, 10 points ahead of the second-placed team, Uruguay.
