CAIRO – 11 November 2017: Al-Ahly defeated Telephonat Bani Sweif 5-0 on Friday night in the Egypt Cup round of 32, qualifying to meet El-Dakhleya in the next round.

Al-Ahly entered the game with many reserves in the starting line-up, like Mohamed El Shenawy, Hussein El Sayed, Ayman Ashraf, Bassem Ali, Hesham Mohamed and Walid Azarro.

Al-Ahly started the game well, and they were about to score the first goal through a penaly 11 minutes after the start, but Ahmed Hamoudi missed it.

Al-Ahly scored the first goal by Hesham Mohamed after 19 minutes, and Amr El Solia doubled the score three minutes later.

Hamoudi missed Al-Ahly’s second penalty in the game minutes before the first half final whistle, but Junior Ajayi scored the third goal to end the first half 3-0.

Al-Ahly finally scored from a penalty by Emad Moteb minutes after the start of the second half.

Ahmed Hamdi scored Al-Ahly fifth goal in the game 8 minutes before the final whistle to end the game 5-0.

Al-Ahly holds the record of winning the competition, as the team has been crowned with 36 Egypt Cup titles.
