CAIRO –7 November 2017: French national team manager, Didier Deschamps, believes that Atletico Madrid are responsible for Antoine Griezmann’s problems this season.

“His form is relative, if it is him, or any other player, form is directly related to the way a team is playing. Atletico Madrid has played a number of less than convincing matches," Deschamps told the press ahead of the French friendly game against Wales.

Griezmann scored only three goals in 13 games with Atletico Madrid. He scored two goals in the Spanish League and one goal in the UEFA Champions League.

Deschamps said he will keep counting on Griezmann in the national team. “Antoine is still Antoine, he still has all the same qualities as before, but maybe he is just being a little less decisive. I do not have any particular worries about him," Deschamps said.

Griezmann, 25, led France to qualify to the 2018 World Cup in Russia. He scored four goals and was the top goal scorer in the qualifiers for France alongside Olivier Giroud.
