CAIRO – 6 November 2017 : Real Madrid Spanish midfielder, Marco Asensio, scored a goal from a beautiful long-range strike to secure Real Madrid’s 3-0 victory over Las Palmas on Sunday.

“It was another good goal; I was able to hit the ball well. I was there at the rebound and was able to get the ball in, it was a great goal," Asensio told the press after the game.

Asensio is well-known for his strong long-range strikes and he has scored many goals for Real Madrid with his shots.

Asensio spoke about his teammates, Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzama’s lack of goals, saying “we are a team, we don't take notice of who scores the goals, we don't look at who gives assists either, we are all moving in the same direction."

Ronaldo and Benzema are suffering in the Spanish League this season as they scored only one goal each. This problem affected Real Madrid’s position in the table as they are in third place with 23 points, eight points behind the leaders, Barcelona.
