CAIRO – 5 November 2017: The draw of the 2018 Handball Africa Cup of Nations was held on Saturday, which resulted in Egypt drawing Morocco and Angola.

The full results of the draw:
Group A: Tunisia, Algeria, Cameroon, Congo, Gabon
Group B: Egypt, Morocco, Angola, DR Congo, Nigeria
The 23rd edition of the tournament will be held from January 17-28 in Gabon.
The top four of each group will qualify for the next round, and then the top three of the whole tournament will qualify for the 2019 Handball World Cup in Germany and Denmark.

Egypt won the last edition, held in Egypt, after they beat Tunisia in the final 21-19.

Egypt has won the African Cup of Nations on six occasions, as the third most capped after Tunisia, the record holders with nine titles, and Algeria, which has seven crowns.
