CAIRO – 03 November 2017: AC Milan`s draw against AEK Athens in the UEFA Europa League, although on paper is not a bad result, did not leave the Rossoneri fans happy. A sector of the fans have already asked for the sacking of Vicenzo Montella, Milan’s coach.

"I've been watching my own funeral for a while now," Montella said while still managing to keep a smile on his face on Sky Sports after the 0-0 in Greece.

"It gives you a new perspective on things. Having said that, I know that the club have faith in me, so we will see.

"We know that our men can do more, they are young talents with a great future lying ahead of them," added Montella, who is in his second season at the club. "For those who came from foreign leagues, it's not easy to adapt to the Italian style of football.”

In Athens, Milan showed the worst version of itself with an uninspiring form and no attack. A shot by Leonardo Bonucci, Milan`s defender in the 44th minute was the Rossoneri's only chance in the first half. "A few weeks ago we created more chances, but allowed more through our defense," Montella added. "Now we don’t create as much, but also barely allow any chances for our opponents."

In the Italian League, AC Milan is eleventh and has scored 16 goals in 11 games, much less than Juventus, Napoli, Inter, Roma, Lazio or Sampdoria.
