CAIRO – 2 November 2017: Cristiano Ronaldo, Portuguese star of Real Madrid, criticized the transfer policy that Real Madrid has taken this past summer.

Ronaldo, who expressed his confusion to the press after the defeat against Tottenham at Wembley Stadium, said that Real Madrid had not covered the losses of some players like the Colombian James Rodriguez well.

In addition Ronaldo affirmed that Real Madrid missed the injured Dani Carvajal and Gareth Bale, and recognized that they could use the "experience" of Pepe, James Rodríguez and Álvaro Morata, who left Real Madrid in the summer.

"The players who have arrived have a lot of potential but Pepe, Morata and James made us stronger and the players are younger now," Ronaldo told reporters after the defeat.

"Our squad isn't worse, but it's less experienced and experience is very important. But it's no excuse and we shouldn't be alarmed," Ronaldo explained, according to Reuters.
