CAIRO – 31 October 2017: The departure of Claudio Ranieri from Leicester City surprised everyone. After getting the only league in the history of the “Foxes”, the Italian was dismissed from his duties in February 2017 as a result of a bad start to the season.

However, even more unexpected were the statements of Ranieri to Corriere Dello Sport, where he said that, after the dismissal of Craig Shakespeare, his replacement, the club asked him to return in order to put out the flames that they provoked.

Claudio, with good manners, answered "no, thanks" to the offer, thus staying ahead of Nantes, which is fifth in the standings, below powerful PSG, Monaco and Lyon.

Finally, after the refusal of Ranieri, Leicester opted for the arrival of Claude Puel at King Power Stadium. The former Southampton coach had his debut with a victory over Everton at home.

The Italian talked about the English Premier League and said that the champion of the current edition is in Manchester.

"City and United will fight for the title. I do not see, for example, Conte's Chelsea with options this year," he said.
