CAIRO – 31 October 2017: Zamalek will be allowed to play in Cairo International Stadium as their home games venue in the Egyptian Premier League.

The Cairo Stadium management has stated that they will host Zamalek games in the league following an announcement from club President Mortada Mansour.

The Egyptian security authorities also have authorized Zamalek to play their matches in Cairo Stadium instead of Petrosport Stadium which has hosted Zamalek games recently. The decision does not include Zamalek’s home games against Al-Masry.

“The resumption of matches in Cairo Stadium came at the perfect time after Egypt qualified to the World Cup. The Ministry of Interior is also keen on bringing the fans back to stadiums in the upcoming period,” head of Cairo Stadium management Aly Darwish said.

“Now we are set to host the games of Al-Ahly, Zamalek and Al-Nasr at the stadium.”
