CAIRO –31 October 2017: Twenty-five players from 20 Arab and foreign countries are preparing for the paramotoring world championship, which will be held on the shores of Qaroun Lake in Egypt’s Fayoum governorate.

Egypt's Ahmed Bakr and Hiba Osamah and the Canadian Kristianna Draper, who is ranked second internationally, will participate in the competition.

Fayoum Governor Gamal Sami stressed that this tournament is held for the first time in Fayoum. The governorate enjoys many environmental, archaeological and heritage elements that qualify it for such an event. The governorate is also well known for its sandboarding and sailing activities.

The participants raised their flags on the shores of Qaroun Lake before flying over it. The contestants presented multiple shows with the paramotor.
