CAIRO – 29 October 2017: Egypt meets Tunisia at the Men’s African Volleyball Championship final on Sunday at 7 p.m. at Cairo Stadium’s indoor halls.

Egypt had an amazing run in the competition; they won all of their four games to the finals without losing any set.

Egypt defeated Niger and Congo with the same result (3-0) at the group stage to qualify to the quarter-finals as the leader of their group.

Egypt also defeated Rwanda and Cameroon (3-0) at quarter-finals and semi-finals respectively to qualify to the finals.

Egypt’s Brazilian coach, Marcus Miranda depends on Ahmed Salah and Abdallah Abdel Salam to beat the Tunisian team.

Egypt and Tunisia previously qualified to the 2018 Volleyball World Cup in Italy and Bulgaria by reaching the finals.

Egypt and Tunisia are the best volleyball national teams in the continent as each of the teams has won the Men’s African Volleyball Championship’s title eight times.

Egypt is looking to win their seventh title in a row, while the Tunisian team is looking to win the first title since 2003.
