CAIRO - 26 October 2017: The Pharaohs hockey team tied with South Africa 3-3 on Thursday in the fourth day of the African Championship hosted by Egypt, which will last until October 29.

Egypt’s national field hockey team for men has defeated both Nigeria and Kenya, and supposed to rest on Friday before its match against Ghana on Saturday.

Five teams are participating in the tournament: South Africa, Ghana, Kenya and Nigeria, as well as host country Egypt.

The Board of Directors of the Hockey Federation, headed by Hany Hamouda, decided to postpone the African Championship for three days, starting Thursday instead of October 19. The tournament was postponed because Zimbabwe and Namibia could not participate, causing a lack of participating teams.
