CAIRO – 22 October 2017:Al Ahly crushed Etoile du Sahel 6-2, 7-4 on aggregate, on Sunday in CAF Champions League semi-final at Borg El Arab Stadium.

It is the biggest score for Etoile du Sahel to be defeated with and also the biggest score for Al Ahly in the semi final of the CAF Champions League.

Al Ahly started the game by: Sherif Ekramy (GK); (DEF) Mohamed Hany, Mohamed Naguib, Saad Samir, Ali Maaloul; (MID) Ramy Rabeaa, Amr El Soleya, Moamen Zakaria, Saleh Gomaa; (ATT) Walid Azzarou, Junior Ajaye.

Ali Maaloul took the lead at the 2nd minute for Al Ahly who tricked the goalkeeper and scored from a wide freekick. The Egyptian players kept pressing the Tunisian backline which led to the second goal in the 23rd minute by Walid Azzarou. Azzarou headed the ball after Moamen Zakaria perfectly crossed from the left.

At the 30th minute, Saleh Gomaa got injured then he came off and replaced by Walid Soliman.

Azzarou again scored the third goal for his team and the second for himself as he amazingly headed Ali Maaloul`s cross inside Al Mathlouthy`s, Etoile du Sahel goalkeeper, net.

Glorious chance for Al Ahly as Azzarou fails to chest the ball down in the box. Junior Ajayi’s subsequent shot is blocked by the defense.

In the second half, everything was the same as Walid Azzarou scored his third goal and the fourth for his team when Momen Zakaria squared the ball to Azzarou in the box and the Moroccan made no mistake by scoring from point blank.

Rami El Bedwi, Etoile du Sahel`s player, scored the first goal for the Tunisian opponent to decrease the gap. But in the 59th minute, Walid Soliman caused trouble for Etoile`s defense who put the ball wrongly into the net to make it 5-1.

Rami Rabeaa, Al Ahly`s defender, took a bow and scored the sixth goal for Al Ahly. He unleashed an unstoppable strike into the top corner of the goal.

Al Ahly players played some amazing football in Etoile`s box which ended up with huge missed chances for the Red giants. Sherif Ekramy, Al Ahly`s goalkeeper, had his moment when he saved amazing shot from a freekick.

When all the fans thought that the match will end with this score, Iheb Msakni scored the second goal for Etoile du Sahel to end the game with 6-2 score.

Al Ahly will meet Wydad Casablanca in the final; Wydad Casablanca defeated USM Alger (3-1) in the semi-finals' second leg in Morocco after a goalless draw in Algeria in the first leg.
