CAIRO – 14 October 2017: Liverpool ended its match against Manchester United with a goalless draw at the Anfield stadium in the 8th round of the English Premier League.

Jose Mourinho, Manchester United coach, again played with defensive tactics to get to the point he wanted from the Reds; Manchester United only created two chances, while Liverpool created 11 chances to score the winning goal.

Liverpool were without Sadio Mane, who picked up a hamstring injury while on international duty with Senegal.

Manchester United were also missing key man Paul Pogba, but both teams still named strong starting lineups.

Mohamed Salah, who helped the Egyptian national team to qualify to the 2018 World Cup, tried to help the Reds but could not score any goals in David De Gea`s net.

Liverpool have 13 points from eight matches and could conclude the weekend in ninth position.

United will be no lower than second place but they are waiting for Manchester City`s stumble against Stoke City.
