CAIRO – 8 August 2017: Security for the coming match between Egypt and Congo for 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier is provided at Borg el-Arab Stadium, Alexandria, on Sunday.

Security forces are spread on all the roads to the stadium, and at its entrances to prevent any kind of chaos.

At the same time, the Ministry of Health has set a health insurance plan for of the match, said spokesman of the Ministry of Health and Population Khalid Mujahid in a statement made on Sunday.

Around 25 well-equipped ambulances inside and outside the stadium are provided for the match and civil clinics are established with all necessary medical equipment in the stadium, added Mujahid.

Besides, readiness of public hospitals, especially in Amereya and Borg el-Arab, is increased, and doctors in all medical specializations are provided in these hospitals.

If Egypt loses to Congo, Ghana will enter the competition with six points after Uganda, which has eight points and Egypt with nine points, and Egypt will be qualified to the World Cup if it wins against Ghana.

If Egypt draws against Ghana and Uganda does not win against Congo, Egypt will still qualify.

If Egypt loses to Ghana, and Uganda does not win against Congo, the goal difference will determine the qualifier.

The worst case scenario would be for Egypt to lose to both Congo and Ghana 1-0 for each match and Uganda draws against Congo. With these results, the three teams (Egypt, Ghana and Uganda) will have nine points. The goal difference for Egypt will be +1; for Uganda, it will be +1 too, and for Ghana, it will be +3; subsequently allowing Ghana will be qualified for the 2018 Russia World Cup.
