Ibrahimovic should relax: doctor

CAIRO – 3 October 2017 : Manchester United fans are waiting for their striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s comeback to strengthen the team squad in their amazing run in the Premier League and UEFA Champions League, but his doctor Freddie Fu has recommended he relax.

“He is very strong but soccer is still a combative sport, as a doctor, of course I want to see him return as slow as possible, only when he is fully fit for the game,” Fu, who operated on Ibrahimovic, told Skysports on Monday.

Ibrahimovic is recovering from anterior cruciate ligament tear that happened during Manchester United’s game against Anderlacht at the Europa League on April.

Fu added “there have been many cases of a player returning prematurely with bad consequences, I have no worry about his injury as it always takes time to fully recover."

Ibrahimovic was Man United’s top goalscorer last season scoring 28 goals which prompted the club to sign the player for another year despite his injury.
