27 medals for Pharaohs in modern pentathlon championship

CAIRO –26 September 2017: The Egyptian team for the modern pentathlon won 6 gold medals, 9 silver and 12 bronze at the World Championships for Biathle (swimming and running) and Triathle (swimming, running and shooting) held in the Spanish city of Viveiro for all ages from 8 to 21 years that was held on September 20.

The tournament was attended by 500 players from 21 countries: Egypt, Spain, Georgia, South Africa, Russia, Kazakhstan, Czech Republic, Austria, Italy, Belarus, England, Germany, Portugal, India, Lithuania, Latvia, France, Ukraine, Russia, Greece and Ecuador.

It is worth mentioning that the Egyptian team participated in the tournament with 33 players from 8 to 21 years old. The team was accompanied by Eng. Hussein Gamal, treasurer of the mission; Adel Abdel Samia; Coach Ayman El Gammal; Coach Arafa Mahmoud for running; Coach Khalid Asfour for swimming; Coach Khalid Samir for shooting; Coach Tamer Murad for running; and Coach Haitham Sabri for fitness.
