Carvajal never doubts Ronaldo’s abilities

CAIRO – 26 September 2017: Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal trusts his teammate Cristiano Ronaldo’s ability to regain his form to help Real Madrid.

“No one doubts him. Every training session is a spectacle, and if he keeps getting chances, he will score, because he always does," Carvajal told press ahead of Real Madrid’s clash against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Saturday.

Ronaldo failed to score any goal in two matches in the Spanish League. He did not participate in the first four games in the league, as he was banned due to offensive behavior against the referee in the Spanish Super Cup first leg against Barcelona.

Carvajal also spoke about his competitor in his position, the Moroccan Achraf Hakimi. He said, “Achraf is a fantastic guy; he is learning fast and he will have the opportunities this season to improve.”

Asked about the effect of the competition with Hakimi on him, Carvajal said, “I do not need to feel competition to improve; the best competition for me is myself."

Real Madrid prepares to face Borussia Dortmund at the UEFA Champions League. They won their first game in the group 3-0 over Apoel Nicosia from Cyprus, while Dortmund lost 1-3 in London to Tottenham.
