CAIRO – 20 September 2017 : Saudi Arabian club, Al Hilal, travelled from the Saudi capital Riyadh to Jeddah on Wednesday to face Al Ittihad at the Saudi Arabian Classico. The game is scheduled on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. Cairo time.

Saudi Arabian football fans anticipate this game every year as Al Hilal and Al Ittihad are the most popular teams in Saudi Arabia.

Al Hilal sits at the top of the league table alongside Al Baten with nine points, while Al Ittihad is placed tenth with three points.

Al Hilal enters the game with good spirits as the team qualified to the Asian Champions League semifinals after beating the Emirati club Al Ain.

Al Hilal depends on their attacking line consisting of Nawaf El Abed, Carlos Eduardo and Omar Kharbin.

On the other hand, Al Ittihad depends on their Egyptian winger Mahmoud Abdel Monem, known as Kahraba, and the Chilean midfielder Carlos Villanueva, as their biggest star Fahd El Mowalad will miss the game due to an injury.

Saudi Arabian football is living its best days as the Saudi Arabian national team qualified to the 2018 World Cup after missing the past three editions.
