CAIRO – 16 September 2017: Real Madrid is interested in signing the 18-year-old talent, Brahim Diaz, from Manchester City.

Diaz is considered one of the best teenagers in European football. Manchester City Youth has just signed the Spanish youngster from Malaga in 2013 for a £350,000 fee. Manuel Pellegrini, former Manchester City`s coach, took some of the credit for signing Diaz as he witnessed his development when he was in charge at Malaga.

Pep Guardiola, Manchester City`s coach, is fond of Diaz, but has admitted it might be hard to keep him at the Etihad Stadium.

“We want him, but today the market is the market. Maybe we can't control it. We spoke with him many times to stay here,” Guardiola said on Friday.

“It depends on the desire of the player. We make the effort to keep him with the salary,” Guardiola added.

Diaz scored for Manchester City against Real Madrid in a pre-season friendly game, but he is under contract with the former until 2019.
