CAIRO - 14 September 2017: National handball women’s U17 team defeated Cote d’Ivoire in the second round of African Women’s Handball Championship.

The women handball national team U17 led by coach Ahmed Abdel Halim defeated Cote d'Ivoire 23-8 in their second match at the African Women’s Handball Championships, hosted by the Ivorian capital Abidjan from September 11 to 17 with the participation of the Pharaohs.

The national team will face Algeria on Thursday in their third match after opening their African Women’s Championship on Tuesday with Senegal. Our team is scheduled to face Tunisia on Friday and Angola on September 16, before facing the Democratic Republic of the Congo at the end of the matches on September 17.

The team coached by Ahmed Abd El Halim includes, Farah Usama, Nada Magdy, Salma Abdel Razek, Rana Rady, Suhaila Khaled, Toqa Alaa El Din, Samira Refaat, Habiballah Hassan, Shahd El Shawarby, Laila Haitham, Yara Abou Dahab, Dalia Adel, Nada Mamdouh, Aya Tarek, Farida Hani, Yasmine Emad. The Egyptian delegation for the African Championship is headed by Mona Amin the member of the board of the hand association.
