Cairo -14 September 2017: A surprising transfer could happen this week as Saudi Arabian champions Al Hilal showed interest in signing Brazilian-born Spanish striker Diego Costa on a short term loan until January, according to Dailymail.

Diego Costa, 28 years old, refused to play for Chelsea this season after he received a message from Chelsea manager Antonio Conte at the end of the last season reporting that he has no plans for the new season.

Costa decided to rejoin his former club, Atletico Madrid, but the club is banned from signing players until January, so he has to search for another club to play for until he is able to join Atletico Madrid.

Costa arrived in Madrid on Tuesday and he informed Chelsea’s board that he will stay in Madrid until his transfer to Atletico Madrid is completed, according to Spanish Newspaper AS.

Costa was seen wearing the Atletico Madrid jersey while watching Atletico Madrid’s first game in the Champions League against Roma, which ended 0-0.

Al Hilal, the current Saudi Arabian champions, are known for signing big football stars like Roberto Rivellino, Thiago Neves and Georgios Samaras.
