CAIRO - 31 August 2017: France defeated Netherlands 4-0 on Thursday in Stade de France, Paris, at the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.

France dominated the game since the start with their attacking force consisting of Olivier Giroud, Antoine Griezmann, Thomas Lemar and Kingsley Coman.

Antoine Griezmann opened the score for France at the 14th minute. French players continued their attempts to score a second goal, but Dutch goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen prevented them from scoring more goals in the first half.

The second half started with Dutch attempts to equalize through veteran striker Arjen Robben, but the Dutch midfielder Kevin Strootman booked a red card and left the Dutch team with only 10 players.

French players used the advantage, scoring three goals in the last 17 minutes through Thomas Lemar who scored twice before Kylian Mbappe scored the fourth goal seconds before the final whistle.

France topped Group A with 16 points while Netherlands stayed fourth with 10 points.
