CAIRO –26 August 2017: Egypt’s U-19 volleyball team, led by Nehad Shehata, lost to Korea 3-1 on Friday, August 25 in the quarter-finals of the World Cup held in Bahrain.

The Egyptian team qualified for the quarter-finals on Thursday, August 24 after beating Cuba 3-2 in the round of 16.

The Pharaohs lost their match against Bahrain 3-1 on Friday, August 18, before defeating Puerto Rico, Tunisia and the USA in the group stage.

The Egyptian team will face Brazil on Saturday, August 26 for the ranking of places 5 through 8.

Egypt entered this year’s edition of the FIVB Boys U-19 World Cup in 13th place in FIVB’s world rankings.
