The organizing committee held a trip to the Pyramids for all the teams to visit one of the World’s Seven Wonders. The aim of the trip was for all the teams to relax before continuing the heated competition on Wednesday.

Egypt plays in Group A alongside Cuba, Mexico, Poland, Japan and Brazil. Algeria is the other Arab nation in the tournament, and plays in Group B alongside China, Iran, Argentina, Turkey, and the reigning champion Russia.

Egypt has participated in the competition since its creation in 2013. The team participated in the two former editions in Brazil and UAE, finishing 9th place in both editions.

Brazil won the first competition in 2013, defeating Serbia in the final. Russia won the second edition, and Turkey advanced to the final.
