CAIRO – 20 August 2017: Barcelona and Real Madrid resume their journey of La Liga for the new season on Sunday.

After a long exhausting season for both Spanish giants, the two teams resume their local matches, as Barcelona will play against Real Betis at 8:15 p.m., while the champion of the previous edition of the Spanish league, Real Madrid, will face Deportivo La Coruña at 10:15 p.m..

Barcelona will enter the game and will have to win to restore the players' morale after losing the Spanish Super Cup from Real Madrid with a 5-1 score in total result of home and away matches, the Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez and the Spanish defender Gerard Pique will not be able to participate in the game as both players were injured in the second leg game of Spanish Super Cup.

Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo will also miss the first match for his team in La Liga after he was sanctioned at the first leg match of the Spanish Super Cup for pushing the referee after receiving a second yellow card for simulating.
