19 August 2017: Bayern Munich defeated Bayer 04 Leverkusen 3-1 on Friday night at the German League opening match. Bayern Munich players had a great performance in front of their fans.

Bayern’s new signing, Niklas Sule, scored the first goal only 9 minutes after the starting whistle with a great header.

Corentin Tolisso, Bayern’s French midfielder, scored the second goal 9 minutes later to end the first half 2-0.

Bayer 04 Leverkusen tried to improve their performance in the second half, but Video Assistant Referee (VAR) granted Bayern Munich a penalty, from which Robert Lewandowski scored the third goal in the 53rd minute.

Bayer 04 Leverkusen succeeded to score their first and only goal in the game by Admir Mehmedi after a great play from Leverkusen’s players.

Carlo Ancelotti, Bayern Munich’s manager, led his team to get the first three points in their campaign to keep the title inside Munich for the fifth consecutive time.
