CAIRO – 18 August 2017: Juventus FC announced on Friday that they have officially signed French midfielder Blaise Matuidi from Paris Saint Germain for €20 millioon ($23.5M), according to Juventus’ official Twitter account.

Juventus said on its official website that the deal cost €20 million, with €10.5 million in additional bonuses.

Five players also joined Juventus during this summer transfer period: Wojciech Szczesny (goalkeeper) from Arsenal (€12.2M), Mattia De Sciglio (right back) from AC Milan (€12M), Rodrigo Bentancur (midfielder) from Boca Juniors (€10.5M), Douglas Costa (left wing) from Bayern Munich on loan, and Federico Bernardeschi (right wing) from ACF Fiorentina (€40M), according to the Transfermarkt website.

Matuidi, 30 years old, joined Paris Saint Germain in 2011 from AS Saint Étienne. He won several titles with PSG, including four France Ligue 1 titles, three Coupe de France titles, four Coupe de la Ligue titles, and four Trophée des Champions titles. He was also named the “Best Footballer of the Year” in 2015 in France, reported the Transfermarkt website.

The French midfielder has made 295 appearances with PSG, scoring 33 goals and making 30 assists.
