11 August 2017:Tony Pulis, West Bromwich Albion manager, has renewed his contract on Friday with the club till 2019, a statement from the club stated.

“I'm delighted to extend my contract, because it continues the stability within the club, which is essential for its progress,” Pulis said to the club’s website after signing the contract.

Egyptian defender Ahmed Hegazi is happy with the renewal of Pulis’s contract, as the manager is convinced of Hegazi’s abilities.

Pulis signed the player from Al Ahly in July, and since then, Hegazi has played many pre-season games with the club and is expected to be a regular player in Pulis’s squad.

Pulis seems happy to be in charge of West Bromwich, despite it not being one of the biggest clubs in the Premier League. He said, “Managing outside the seven or eight in the Premier League is a tough job, but it's one I still relish and enjoy. It's a great challenge, but it's important that we maintain stability to tackle it.”

Tony Pulis, 59 years old, started managing West Bromwich in 2015, and he has made great progression within the club, having led the team to finish last season in the 10th position.

West Bromwich opens the new season in the Premier League against Bournemouth on Saturday.
