6 Egyptian players to play with their European teams today

CAIRO – 5 August 2017: Six Egyptian international players are scheduled to play with their European clubs on August 5.

Ahmed El Mohamady (Aston Villa), Omar Gaber (FC Basel), Mohamed Salah (Liverpool FC), Ramadan Sobhy (Stoke City FC), Ahmed Hegazy (West Bromwich Albion), and Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet (Kasimpasa S.K.) are scheduled to play with their clubs in today’s matches.

Aston Villa right back Ahmed El Mohamady is set to play with the team in their first match in the Championships against his former team Hull City.

Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah will feature in his team’s friendly game against Athletico Bilbao as part of their preparations for the upcoming season.

Meanwhile, Stoke City’s talented winger, Ramadan Sobhy, is expected to play in Stoke’s friendly match against RB Leipzig.

Ahmed Hegazy, West Bromwich’s defender, is set to play against Deportivo La Coruna, as West Bromwich continues their preparations for the start of the season.

Omar Gaber will be hoping to gain his first appearance as Switzerland’s title holders FC Basel play their third match in the league against FC Thun.

Lastly, Mahmoud Hassan Trezguet is set to play with his new team, Kasimpasa S.K., against Istanbulspor A.S. in a friendly game as both teams prepare for the start of the new season.

It is worth mentioning that those six international players helped the Egyptian national team reach the final of the 2017 African Cup of Nations before losing to Cameroon 2-1.
