Barcelona basketball legend reveals his opinion about Neymar

CAIRO – 3 August 2017: Barcelona basketball legend, Pau Gasol, spoke on Wednesday about Neymar’s departure from Barcelona, Gasol is preparing with Spanish National team for EuroBasket 2017.

"In the end, a player who is thinking of being elsewhere rather than focusing on the team is not beneficial for the club,” Pau Gasol, San Antonio Spurs, player spoke to Efe.

Gasol, who was born in Barcelona and played for the club three years before moving to NBA and he is known for his huge support to Barcelona.

Gasol, 37 years, spoke about Neymar’s decision, he said ”A player needs to be where he feels comfortable and where he wants to be, if a player is thinking of another team and he wants to go, then let him leave."

Neymar informed Barcelona on Wednesday morning with his desire to leave the club to play for Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and has to pay his buy-out clause which is €222 million ($262 million).
