CAIRO – 1 August 2017: The winner of the bronze medal for the 50 meter butterfly race at the 2017 World Aquatics Championships, Egyptian swimmer Farida Osman, will participate in the upcoming charity swimming event held in Rome on August 8 and 9.

The Egyptian champion posted on her official Facebook account, saying, “I'm so excited to announce that I will be participating in a charity swimming event coming up in Rome on August 8th and 9th. It is good to mention that Osman finished the women's 50m butterfly final race in Budapest on July 29 , recording 25.39 seconds to end up in third place and give Egypt the first-ever medal in the World Championships.

Osman was then acknowledged by the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports, receiving the praise of Minister Khaled Abdel Aziz.
