CAIRO – 29 July 2017 – Al Ahly books its ticket to the semifinals after a classic +90-minute winning goal against Nassr Hussein Dey in the final round of the group stage of the Arab Championship.

Al Ahly secured its seat for the semifinals after defeating Algerian team Nassr Hussein Dey 2-1. The Algerians started the scoring with a goal by Mohamed Boulaouidet in the 61st minute of the game, and then started wasting time until the referee gave Al Ahly a penalty kick after the hard tackling of Al Ahly striker Walid Azarou by Hussein Dey’s defense. Al Ahly midfielder Saleh Gomaa didn’t hesitate to put the ball in the net to equalize the score.

Al Ahly manager Hossam Al Badry made two substitutions, entering Emad Moteab and Amr Barakat, the two key players of the second goal, which was scored by Barakat in the 92nd minute of the game, assisted by Moteab, known as the “man of the +90” by Al Ahly fans for having given Al Ahly so many victories and titles by scoring a winning goal after the 90th minute of the game.
